What is portfolio report?

Portfolio report provides complete details about the account holder's holdings and position. To get your portfolio report, follow these steps:

    1. Log in to Jplus
    2. Click on comet
    3. Click on Report and select Portfolio
    4. Select the desired category from: My holding and My Position.
    5. You will find your category-wise summary over here in the report. You can also download the report by selecting the download icon given on the upper right side.

  • First pie chart displays the scrip wise weightage of your entire portfolio. Second pie chart shows how your total holdings is have been invested among different sectors of the economy. 

  • The buying value represents the total value of the scrip you have purchased, while the present value indicates the current total market value of the stock.

  •  Unrealized gains are depicted in green, while losses are shown in red. 'After the haircut' refers to the total portfolio's value after deducting the relevant percentage of the haircut as per SEBI regulations for different scrips.

  • The haircut value is determined according to SEBI regulations. When buying pledge shares, a 'haircut' denotes the deduction of a few percentage points from the overall margin, as set by SEBI regulations. The pledge after a haircut represents the amount of securities pledged for collateral margin from the portfolio.

  •  Scrip quantity refers to the total quantity of shares, while the buying price represents the total value of the shares purchased.

  • The closing price indicates the most recent or last closing stock value, and the market value is calculated by multiplying the quantity by the closing stock value.

  • Overall gain is presented in both percentages and rupees. The percentage is calculated by dividing the overall gain in rupees by the buying price, while the rupee figure is obtained by finding the difference between the market value and the buying value and multiplying the result by the quantity.
