How to view, add or edit a trusted account on CDSL Easiest?

  • To add a recipient as a trusted account, follow the given steps:
    1. Log in to your CDSL easiest account and select the 'Miscellaneous' tab.
    2. Select 'Edit Trusted Account' to add or remove a trusted account.
    3. Select 'Add Trusted Account' and enter the 16-digit CDSL BOID of the transferee or recipient. If the trusted account is a Jainam account, the BO ID can be viewed in the back office's profile.
  • Adding/removing trusted accounts requires DP authentication.If the request for adding a trusted account has been received by Jainam till 2.00 p.m., then it will be verified by 7.00 p.m. on the same working day. If the request is received after 2:00 p.m., then it will be verified by Jainam on the next working day.
  • Once verified by Jainam, the status will be changed from 'pending for DP authentication' to 'Authenticated by DP'. CDSL will also take 1 working day for mapping a trusted account as a counter BOID for off-market transfer.

  • The 'Trusted Account' in the 'CDSL Easiest’ platform allows CDSL account holders to transfer securities to another CDSL Demat account only. Only 4 demat accounts can be added as trusted accounts at a given point in time.
