What are the timings of the Pre-Open Session?

The Pre-Open Session is divided into three phases:

9:00 AM to 9:08 AM

Order entry, modification and cancellation

Order Matching and Trade Confirmation

9:08 AM to 9:12 AM

Opening price determination, order matching and trade confirmation

Buffer Period

9:12 AM to 9:15 AM

Transition from Pre Open to continuous trading

The Order Entry Period closes through a system driven random closure between the 7th and 8th minute. The Order Matching Period starts immediately after the Order Entry Period ends.
