What types of orders are available in Jainam?

Jainam offers the following order types to help users execute trades based on their trading preferences. While placing an order, users can choose Buy or Sell, select the product type (Intraday or Delivery), and then choose the appropriate order type. 

  1. Market Order – Executes the order immediately at the best available market price.  

  1. Limit Order – Allows users to specify the price at which they want to buy or sell a security. The order is executed only if the market reaches the specified price.  

  1. SL (Stop-Loss) Order – Helps limit potential losses by triggering a limit order when the specified trigger price is reached. The order is executed at the limit price or better.  

  1. SL-M (Stop-Loss Market) Order – Triggers a market order once the specified stop-loss trigger price is reached. The order is executed at the prevailing market price, which helps limit potential losses. 

There are other varieties of orders like:- 

Order Varieties 

  • Regular Order – Placed during regular market hours (9:15 AM to 3:30 PM IST). The order is eligible for execution immediately during market hours.  

  • AMO (After Market Order) – Placed after market hours and before the next trading session begins. The order is queued and submitted for execution when the market opens on the next trading day.  

Order Validity Types 

  • Day – The order remains active until the end of the trading day or until it is executed. Any unexecuted order is automatically cancelled at the end of the trading session.  

  • IOC (Immediate or Cancel) – The order must be executed immediately. If it cannot be executed in full, the unexecuted quantity is cancelled immediately. Partial execution is permitted.  

  • GTD (Good Till Date) – The order remains active until the specified expiry date or until it is executed, whichever occurs first. Any unexecuted order is automatically cancelled on the selected date.
