- A demat account can be opened online at Jainam only if:
- The applicant is an individual,
- Is resident Indian and
- His/her mobile number is linked to Aadhaar.
- You have to follow the on-screen instructions and complete the process of e-signing. To open an online account at Jainam, follow the given steps :-
- Visit the Jainam Website and click on the Open Demat Account.
- Mobile number : Enter the mobile number you wish to use for the account, enter the OTP received on the mobile and continue.
- E-mail ID: Provide your email ID for account-related communications. Your mail id can be verified either by selecting continue with Google to verify or by selecting verify with OTP. You have to enter the OTP received on your mail id and continue.
- PAN Number: Provide your PAN number and this will automatically fetch your name and date of birth.
- KYC Verification: You can complete KYC verification either via DigiLocker or via Auto KYC.
- If you select DigiLocker, follow these steps:
- Enter your Aadhar card number and further enter captcha code displayed.
- Enter the 6-digit OTP sent to your registered mobile number linked with your Aadhar.
- If you have a security PIN, enter your 6-digit security DigiLocker PIN.
- Select "Continue" and then click on the final submission button
- If you select Auto KYC, then follow these steps:
- For uploading PAN: Ensure that the PAN number is correct.
- For uploading a signature: Upload a clear image of your signature on a blank piece of paper. The signature must be clear, legible, and with a black or blue ball pen. Markers or sketch pens are not allowed.
- Bank Account : You can add your bank account either via UPI or via entering your bank details.
- If you verify a bank account via UPI: Generate a QR code and scan the QR code using your payment application and transfer ₹1.This amount will be refunded to your account within 48 hours.
- If you verify using bank details: Select your account type, enter the IFSC code and your bank account number.
- Personal Details : Enter your personal details as your father’s name, marital status, gender, your occupation and annual income details and trading experience.
- Add Nominee: If you want to add a nominee, select Yes and fill in the nominee's name and PAN details. You can add a maximum of 3 nominees. If the nominee is a minor, adding guardian details is compulsory.
- Segment Activation: If a client wants to activate the F&O segment, an income proof is required. The proof of income can be one of the following:
- Bank statement: The bank statement should be for the last six months, clearly showing the bank account number, IFSC code, bank logo and your pre-printed name on it.
- ITR acknowledgement: The ITR acknowledgement should be for the last financial year, complete and accurately reflecting your financial details.
- Net worth certificate: It should be of the latest month and your name should be pre-printed on it.
- Selection of Pricing Plan: You can select either of the pricing plans, Premium or DIY (Do It Yourself). At Jainam, the Premium Pricing Plan caters to luxury broking clients, and the DIY Plan is designed for discount broking services.
- IPV and E-sign Verification:
- IPV verification:- After scanning the QR code on your phone, take a clear selfie and click to submit. Once completed, your IPV photo will appear in the process.

- While uploading a photo, make sure the photo is clear and not blurry. All your facial features should be shown clearly.
