When shares are moved from another broker to Jainam account or when physical shares are converted to Demat, the buy price doesn't appear by default in Jainam Backoffice. You’ll need to manually enter it to ensure your P & L reports are accurate. Here’s how to update the Buy price manually:

  1. Go to backoffice.jainam.in
  2. Log in using your User ID and Password.Use Forgot Password if needed and enter the OTP to verify.
  3. Select the correct financial year from the top dropdown and select 'Reports'. Then go to 'New Portfolio' and select 'Add Portfolio'. Select 'Add New Item'.
  4. In the form that appears, choose the Date and enter the Script Code.
  5. Select Buy under Buy/Sell and fill in the quantity and pricedetails.
  6.  In the Narration, explain reason as transfer from other broker.
  7. Select Transaction in last field and Save.
Once done, your holdings will reflect the correct buy price and your tax reports will be accurate.

You also need to create a ticket if price is entered for a security transferred in any previous financial year.
