- Ensure all documents are accurate and complete before submission to avoid delays or rejection. The list of required documents is as follows:
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ACCOUNT OPENING OF MINOR | Identification proof | Provide all of the following documents: - - PAN copy of both Minor and Guardian.
- Minor’s passport size photograph.
- Guardians passport size photograph.
- Legal guardian letter ( if guardian is anyone other than the parent of the minor/ court approved guardian).
- A rubber stamp needs to be affixed with the name of the minor as operating by the Guardian.
| DOB Proof | A proof of the date of birth of the minor is required. It can be any of the following: - - Birth certificate.
- School living certificate.
- passport (check validity date).
- Mark sheet issued by a higher secondary board.
| Address proof of the Guardian | Any OVD (official valid documents) proof for the address proof of the guardian. As, Aadhar card (only masked Aadhar card is allowed),voter ID, passport or driving license. | Address proof of the Minor | Passport or Masked Aadhar of the minor. | Bank Proof | Any one from the following:- - Personalized cancelled cheque with the minor’s name pre - printed on it.
- Minor’s bank passbook/statement (should not be older than 3 months) with all the details clearly visible as , holder Name, Bank logo and seal, IFSC code, MICR Code and Account Number.

- A minor account can be opened within 3 working days. However, minors are restricted from placing intraday orders, trading in F&O segments (Equity, Currency, Commodity), and directly purchasing stocks.
- Guardians can transfer existing holdings to the minor’s demat account using CDSL Easiest or Jainam’s Gift feature (Gifting is simpler and preferred). Minors can only sell shares that have been transferred or gifted to their demat account.
- E-DIS is not allowed for minor accounts. All transactions must be done through physical DIS or guardian's instruction.
