Why Masking of Aadhar card is important?

Why masking of Aadhar card is important?

While submitting an Aadhar card for account opening or modification, the Aadhar card provided must be a masked Aadhar card only.

A masked Aadhaar card is an Aadhaar card whose first 8 digits are masked, leaving only the last 4 digits visible.

In addition to the above, if it is required to mention the Aadhar number in any kind of form, then please mention only the last 4 digits. For example, **** **** 1234.

When submitting an LLP agreement or partnership deed, the applicant firm should itself take care of masking the first eight digits of the Aadhar card visible on the agreement or deed.

EXCEPTION:
If an applicant wants to be active in the commodity segment( in MCX or NCDEX), then it is mandatory to provide a non-masked Aadhar card with all 12 digits visible.
