What are the documents required for account opening  by any resident individual at Jainam?

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ACCOUNT OPENING OF RESIDENT INDIVIDUAL: -

Identification Proof

Provide all the following documents:

  1. PAN card copy of all the holders (self-attested).
  2. Passport-size photograph of all the holders.

Bank proof

Anyone from the following:

  • Personalized cancelled cheque with the individual name pre-printed on it.
  • Bank passbook/statement (should not be older than 3 months) with all the details clearly visible, such as holder Name, Bank logo and seal, IFSC code, MICR Code, and Account Number.

Address Proof

A self-attested copy of any OVD can be considered for address proof. OVD (Officially Valid Documents) are the documents taken for KYC as, an Aadhaar card (only masked Aadhaar card is allowed), voter ID, passport or driving license, or NAREGA job card.

Income Proof

Anyone from the following:

  • Last six months' bank statement
  • Last filed ITR (Income Tax Return)
  • Last three months’ salary slip
  • Net worth Certificate
  • Statement of demat holdings.

  • The photograph provided by the holders should be the latest, and it will be verified with the provided KYC documents. The photograph must be taken without sunglasses or a cap, and both ears of the applicant should be clearly visible. Live photo or IPV (In-Person Verification)  is mandatory for all E-KYC requests, such as account opening or modification, etc.
  • While processing the E-KYC forms, the latest and proper signature should be provided instead of any cropped signature. Mobile number and email ID must be unique and mandatory for individual account holders.
  • All the documents provided should be clear and readable. Blurred documents will not be considered. The applicant should check for the validity of the driving license and passport. Expired documents will not be considered. OVDs (Officially Valid Documents) are the documents that are taken for KYC as
    1.  Aadhaar card,
    2. Election card or voting card, 
    3. Passport
    4. Driver's license and
    5. NAREGA job card.
  • If a photocopy of the bank statement is provided, it must be verified by the banker and include their official seal and signature to be considered valid. Bank statements can be considered as proof of address only for the correspondence address and not for the registered or permanent address.
  • For demat proof, the client master report should be provided with the stamp and logo of the depository (NSDL/CDSL). An individual can have multiple Demat accounts linked to the same PAN.

    Points to note for Aadhaar card:
  • While submitting an Aadhaar card for the purpose of account opening or modification, the Aadhaar card provided must be a masked Aadhaar card only. To know more, see How to download a masked Aadhaar card?
  • A masked Aadhaar card is an Aadhaar where the first eight digits will be masked and only the last four digits will be visible.
  • In addition to the above, if it is required to mention the Aadhaar number in any kind of form, then please mention only the last 4 digits. For example, **** **** 1234.
  • When submitting an LLP agreement or partnership deed, the applicant firm takes care of masking the first eight digits of the Aadhar card visible on the agreement or deed.
  • If an applicant wants to be active in the commodity segment, then it is mandatory to provide a non-masked Aadhaar card with all 12 digits visible.
