What information appears in a Contract Note?

A contract Note contains key sections that detail trade execution and settlement: 

  1. Broker and Client Details – This part confirms identities and includes: 

  • Broker name, registered office address, SEBI registration details, and contact information 

  • Client name, PAN, Unique Client Code (UCC), registered address, and GST status (if applicable) 

  1. Trade and Settlement Details – This section specifies: 

  • Trade Date: Date when the transaction was executed 

  • Settlement Date: Date when funds or securities are settled 

  • Settlement Number and Exchange: Identifiers related to the trade 

  1. Trade Execution Details – Each executed trade is listed with the following information: 

Note: Total Buy Value (Right Side) → accrues when you purchase stocks. Total Sell Value (Left Side) → displayed when you sell stocks.
