What is a contract note and how to download it ?

A contract note is an official document that records all transactions executed through stockbrokers on stock exchanges. It serves as a confirmation of trades carried out on a specific day, offering a detailed breakdown of the charges incurred.


To download the contact note, follow these steps:

  1. Log-in to Jainam plus
  2. Click on the 'Report icon' and select 'Ledger Report.'
  3. Choose the desired segment from the dropdown menu.
  4. Select the financial year, and for a custom date range, use the dropdown list and adjust the dates as needed.
  5. Click on 'View' to see all your transactions.
  6. Download the contract note to save the report.

RELATED FACTS : 

  • You can download reports in Excel and PDF formats. Reports can be downloaded for custom date ranges.
  • Quick-view options allow you to check reports for the last 7 days or other predefined periods.
  • If a large number of contract notes are selected, there may be a slight delay in receiving the email. The download link in the email remains active for 7 days. Contract notes can only be downloaded for a period of up to 365 days.
  • Scrip-wise charges are not included in the contract note. Charges such as Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC), payment gateway fees, depository participant (DP) charges, call and trade fees, and delayed payment charges are also excluded.
