What is the difference between the Trusted Account and the Account of Choice?

While registering for CDSL Easiest, you have to choose your account type from the Truted account or Account of Choice. The client must choose the appropriate account type during registration.

Features	Trusted Account	Account of Choice
Definition	A trusted account is the account type of CDSL Easiest where you can transfer securities to pre-selected, trusted CDSL accounts only.	'Account of choice' is the account type of CDSL Easiest where you can transfer securities to any Demat account of the user's choice.
Approval Process	Trusted accounts can be added during registration and be pre-approved, or they can be added after registration by DP authentication.	No pre-approval needed; uses dynamic approval via e-token.
Number of Accounts	Only Up to 4 trusted accounts can be mapped at registration.	Unlimited; can transfer to any account without prior mapping.
Transfer Method	Requires a PIN for authentication.This T-PIN will be sent by CDSL on mail after registration.	It requires an e-token for authentication.
Inter-Depository Transfers	Not permitted (restricted to CDSL accounts only).	Permitted (can transfer to NSDL or other accounts).
Change Process	Adding/removing accounts requires submission of forms and DP authentication.	No changes needed; transfer possible dynamically without pre-mapping.
