How to pay stamp duty to CDSL through UPI ?

The stamp duty payment to CDSL can be done directly through CDSL’s website using a valid UPI handle by following given steps:

Visit the CDSL website and select Stamp Duty .Clients can use CDSL's stamp duty calculator to learn how much stamp duty must be paid.
Select Stamp Duty Payment.
Enter details as
- Entity Type: Select Beneficial Owner (BO).
- BOID: Enter your 16-digit demat account number.
- BO Name: Will be auto-fetched based on BOID (verify before proceeding).
- enter your Mobile Number and Email ID
- Stamp Duty Amount: Enter the payable stamp duty amount.
- Enter the captcha as displayed and select proceed for payment
- Enter your VPA/UPI ID and select "verify" to validate.
- After UPI ID validation, select "Make Payment."
You will receive a UPI payment request from the valid CDSL UPI handle - cdsl.stamp.dep@validhdfc. Approve the payment request in your UPI app. On successful payment, a confirmation message will appear on the CDSL payment screen.
An order ID and reference ID will be generated. Payment details will be sent to the email ID entered and the registered email ID of the BO.
