How to add a beneficiary at CDSL Easiest to transfer securities?

• Beneficiary is the person to whom you want to make an off-market transfer of securities. Adding the transferee or recipient as a beneficiary is mandatory for any off-market transfer. A beneficiary can be added at Jainam through offline mode or through CDSL Easiest/Easi login.
• To add a beneficiary online through CDSL Easi or Easiest, follow the given steps:
  1. Log in to CDSL Easi or Easiest.
  2. From the menu, select the 'Miscellaneous' tab and then select 'BO Linking.' To add a beneficiary, select 'BO Linking Setup.'
  3. Select the beneficiary's depository from NSDL or CDSL. Provide the PAN and BOID of the buyer/beneficiary and submit.
  4. The transferor or seller will receive an email from CDSL on his registered email ID for verification on the same day. To authenticate the beneficiary added, you (seller/transferor) need to select the link provided in the mail and add your PAN number or 16-digit demat account number (BOID). Select the beneficiary and 'Generate OTP.' Enter the OTP and proceed.
  5. The beneficiary will be successfully added without any paperwork. To check your existing beneficiary status or delink, select 'BO Linking Inquiry and delink' from BO Linking under the transaction tab.
     
  6. The transferor or seller will receive an email from Intimation@cdslindia.co.in on their registered email ID for verification on the same day. To authenticate the beneficiary added, you (seller/transferor) need to select the link provided in the mail and add your PAN number or 16-digit demat account number (BOID). Select the beneficiary and click on 'Generate OTP.' Enter the OTP received and proceed. Your beneficiary will then be successfully added for off-market transfer.
