Can I pay stamp duty to CDSL  through virtual code/net banking?

Yes. Besides UPI, BOs can pay via virtual account number (VAN) using RTGS/NEFT/IMPS with below details provided by CDSL. Cheques, demand drafts, and pay orders are not accepted.

Payment Instructions for Beneficial Owners (BO):

  1. Stamp Duty payment must be made only via RTGS/NEFT/IMPS using the Virtual Account Number (VAN). 
  2. BOs should add the VAN as a beneficiary in their internet banking portal to make payments.
  3. If internet banking is unavailable, BOs must submit a physical request to their bank for RTGS/NEFT/IMPS quoting the VAN.
  4. Payments made with an incorrect VAN will be auto-reversed by the bank.
  5. BOs can download the receipt copy for the advance stamp duty amount paid
    from the CDSL website  using their login credentials.
