Which stocks will be covered under CAS?

Which stocks will be covered under CAS? 

Initially, CAS will apply to stocks in the Equity Cash Segment for which derivative contracts are available. Other cash-market securities will continue to have their closing price determined using the existing VWAP method for the time being.  

Example: 

  • If ABC Ltd. is available for trading in both the Equity Cash Segment and the Equity F&O Segment, its closing price will be determined through CAS. 

  • If XYZ Ltd. is available only in the Equity Cash Segment and does not have an equity derivative contract, its closing price will continue to be determined using the existing VWAP method.
