How can the name be updated in a Trading Account?

The name in a Trading Account can be updated by submitting a duly completed Name Modification Form along with the required supporting documents. The same form is applicable for both minor name corrections and full name changes.

The request can be submitted using either of the following methods:

Download the Name Modification Form, fill in the required details, and courier the signed form along with the supporting documents to the Head Office address.

Visit the nearest branch and submit the completed form along with the required documents.

Documents required:

PAN Card

Aadhaar Card

Passport

Driving Licence

Voter Id Card

If name change is due to marriage

Marriage Proof/Updated Passport

In case of official gazette name change

Gazette Copy (Publication of name change in official Gazette)

Processing time: The name modification will be processed and updated within 2 working days after successful verification of documents.
