How can a client change the linked bank account online in a Trading & Demat account? 

Clients can update the linked bank account online by following the steps below: 

Online process: 

  1. Log in to JPLUS 

  1. Click on the Profile icon 

  1. Go to My Account 

  1. Select My Details 

  1. Click on the Edit button under the Bank Details section 

  1. Enter the IFSC code and Bank Account Number 

  1. Select the Account Type 

  1. Upload the required bank proof 

  1. Submit the request  

Documents required: 

Any one of the following documents may be uploaded as bank proof: 

  1. Copy of a cheque or cancelled cheque with the account holder’s name printed on it 

  1. Copy of the bank statement bearing the client’s name and address 

  1. Copy of the passbook bearing the client’s name and address 

  1. Letter issued by the bank confirming account details  

Key Points to Note: 

  • In case of documents mentioned in points (2), (3), and (4) above, the MICR code of the branch must be mentioned on the document and should be self-certified by the client. 

  • Bank details in the trading account will be updated within 2 working days after successful verification. 

  • MICR codes starting with 000 are not eligible for ECS.
